The New Year has started well for Kinross Road Runners, training nights have been busy and club members have run well in races. Isabel Carmichael was 3rd in her
age group at the Great Winter Run and Judith Dobson was 25th overall and 1st lady Forfar Road Runners new multi terrain Half Marathon. Douglas Leitch also ran at
Forfar and finished 45th in a time of 104:25. Isabel, Judith and Douglas were joined by Rashmi Shah, Daniel Hills, Sandy MacCalman and Carol Cadger to form a mixed
team in the Devils Burdens relay race. Everybody enjoyed their run and the team completed the hilly course in a respectable time of 3hrs 41mins placing them 66th out of 86 teams.
Club members helped Coach Bill Nouillan celebrate his 70th birthday at Loch Leven Larder on 20th January. Bill is running London Marathon again this year and is
hoping to set a personal best time for his age. Bill retired from the committee at the Annual General Meeting on 27th January but will continue to Coach.
New Coach Roger Stark joined the committee together with new member Kate Ives. The committee’s main business is organising Loch Leven Half Marathon on 27 May 2006.
