Christmas Handicap and Club Awards - Sunday 22nd December 2002 - Julia Melville won this year's Club Christmas Handicap over a 5 mile course around Kinross. Anne Wilson was a close second.  Christine Kinloch was voted Athlete of the Year, Rashmi Shah won the men's championship and Judith Dobson won the ladies' championship.

 

Pitmedden 5.5 Mile Forest Race, Auchtermuchty - Saturday 14th December 2002 - Judith Dobson and Willie Rennie took part in this Fife AC organised race through the hilly and muddy tracks of Pitmedden Forest behind Auchtermuchty.  Willie recorded a time of 44 minutes and Judith arrived home in 50 minutes.

The Cateran Trail

·                     The Kinross Team won the Ladies 2002 Cateran Trail Relay Race.  Bill Noulin, the Club Coach, congratulates them on their win.

Newburgh 5 - 10th July 2002 - Graeme Malcolm, Rashmi Shah and Christine Kinloch ran the Newburgh 5 race in heavy rain.  Newburgh 5 is mainly off road and the wet weather made conditions slippery however this didn’t slow the runners down with Rashmi finishing in 27min and 41secs, Graeme in 31mins and 13 secs and Christine in 39mins.

 

Brig Bash - 9th July 2002 -  Judith Dobson and Anne Malcolm travelled to Bridge of Earn to run the Brig Bash.  The Brig Bash is a flat 5 mile course on quiet roads which Judith ran in 36mins and Ann ran in 41 mins.

 

Stonehaven Half Marathon - 7th July 2002 - Scott Paterson and Alex O’Hare ventured north to run the Stonehaven Half Marathon.  Stonehaven is a notoriously hilly course and Scott and Alex ran well to finish in 1hr 40m 30s and 1hr 45m 9s respectively.

 

The Sandy Slither - 21st June 2002 - seven members of the club travelled to Lower Largo to run in Fife ACs race, the Sandy Slither.  The 6-mile race follows the coastline from Largo Bay to Elie finishing on the beach in front of the Ship Inn.  First back from the club was Stuart McAllister in 46 mins followed by Graeme Malcolm in 49 mins.  John Barclay has recently returned to running and ran well to finish in 52 mins, 30secs ahead of Judith Dobson.  Anne Hamill was next to finish in 57 mins followed by Anne Malcolm (59 mins) and Sandra Kinnear.
