Relief ‘Run a Mile’

Thanks to all 180 runners, walkers and crawlers who took part in the Sport Relief "Run a Mile" at Kinross House on Saturday 10th July. Club Championship and Handicap - Sunday 21st December - Emma Barclay won the 2003 Ladies Club Championship, Willie Rennie won the Men's Championship and Gordon Donnachie won Athlete of the Year. Bill Nouillan won this year's handicap race.

Hartley Relay - Sunday 17th November 2002
The Kinross Road Runners' Team presented a cheque for £500 to CHAS before the race. The money was donated by participants in the Loch Leven Half Marathon.
A total of twelve teams took part in the annual Hartley Relay was held in the grounds of Kinross House. The race dates back to 1984 when Eddie Hartley, a former Road Runners' coach donated the trophy. For the first time the Wee County Harriers joined Kinross Road Runners, Perth Road Runners, Dundee Road Runners, Arbroath Footers, Forfar Road Runners and Brechin Road Runners.
Teams of 12, which include 2 ladies, ran round the one mile circuit. The results were:
1st - Dundee Road Runners - 1 hour, 4minutes and 17 seconds
2nd - Perth Road Runners - 1 hour, 5 minutes and 35 seconds
3rd - Arbroath Footers - 1 hour, 11 minutes and 4 seconds
Fastest Lady - Mary McIntyre of Dundee Road Runners - 5 minutes and 33 seconds
Fastest Man - Ruairidh Campbell of Arbroath Footers - 4 minutes and 43 seconds
Loch Leven Half Marathon - Saturday 7th September 2002
There were a total of 370 runners ranging from 18 to 71 years old. The first male home was Nigel Cunningham from Pitreavie AC in a time of 1hour 12 minutes and 33 seconds. The first female back was Sarah Paterson in a time of 1 hour 30 minutes and 22 seconds. The full results are available here.
